Spaceful's inventory allocation system is designed to help you streamline your inventory management process and improve your overall efficiency. With inventory allocation automations, you can easily allocate inventory to specific orders, locations, or customers, giving you greater control over your inventory. Inventory allocation rules run on a priority sequence and are triggered when inventory is put into storage through the completion of a receiving order, returns, order cancellation or order updates. This article will guide you through the steps for using our inventory allocation system, including how to set up and customize allocation rules.
1. Visit the merchant dashboard and select the Inventory tab followed by Inventory Allocation (Beta) in the submenu.
2. Once in the inventory allocation view, you can remove or add automation rules using the X and + buttons on the right hand side. Inventory allocation rules can be set by selecting from the predefined conditions and setting the details. Be sure to modify the priority of the rules based on a numbered sequence on the left hand side.
Important note: The default condition on all merchants account are set to allocate inventory to the oldest orders first.
