Enabling delivery duties paid (DDP) is a vital aspect of an international commerce strategy, ensuring a seamless experience for both you and your customers. In this article, we'll walk you through the steps required to enable delivery duties paid (DDP), allowing duties and taxes to be paid prior to the delivery. This removes the need for shoppers to pay potential duties and taxes for international orders and ensures smoother cross-border transactions.
Note: The shipping algorithm currently searches for the cheapest rates based on the selections made in your account (Selecting Shipping Carrier Services), therefore delivery duties unpaid (DDU) is set by default.
1. Begin by visiting the Orders tab of the Spaceful platform.
2. Locate the order you wish to ship with the delivery duties paid (DDP) and select the Details button on the right.
3. In the order details page, scroll down and select the Pay order duty checkbox and press on Save.
Optional Step - Automations
Enabling delivery duties paid (DDP) can be automated through the use of Order Automations (BETA). Specific conditions can be selected with the action set to Pay customs duty.
