Sometimes a shopper may visit your website and purchase products that are no longer in stock. Spaceful will still accept this order as needing to be fulfilled, however the order will be put on "Back-ordered" status, indicating that we cannot fulfill the order because there is not enough inventory.
You can view what products are out-of-stock within the specific order by navigating to the Orders tab, searching for the order and reviewing the details section. You'll see a list of items included in the order, all red items are out-of-stock or not able to fulfilled at the time.
Important Note: Please ensure you advise our support team 2 business weeks ahead of any pre-sale or instances where large amounts of back-orders are expected to be resolved. Without any prior notice, Spaceful reserves the right to fulfill resolved back-orders based on the previous 30 day average fulfillment volume despite any guaranteed service level agreements (SLAs).
When an order is in "Back-ordered" status, there are two ways to finalize the order.
1. Create a Warehouse Receiving Order (WRO) and notify Spaceful that you'll be sending more inventory. Once our warehouse specialists receive your inventory, we will automatically fulfill orders with a back-ordered status.
2. Edit the order and remove products that are out of stock with in stock inventory.
