Review that there are no errors or invalid characters in the customer’s name, email address, shipping address and ensure that the product/bundle is synced to the platform. Once the necessary changes have been made press on Sync failed orders on the orders page. Our system does not import orders that are fulfilled or archived. |
Your order no longer displays any products in the shipment details |
All orders must be unfulfilled and cannot have the fulfillment manually requested in your e-commerce platform. Ensure that the order returns to an unfulfilled status and is unarchived. |

Our basic synchronization runs on an automated 30-minute timer unless you’re subscribed to our Lightning Sync which is a near-instant synchronization. Learn more. |

Your product's SKU value is too long |
SKU values have a ___ character limit. Edit the SKU value in your e-commerce platform and press on Sync e-commerce platform again on the orders page.

Required Shopify Settings
SKU Values
Products that are imported from Shopify must have SKU values. (This is not required for products manually created on the Spaceful platform)
- Go to the Products menu in the sidebar.
- Choose the product you want to add a SKU to.
- Add the SKU value to each variant.
(SKU values should be unique).
- Click Save on the top right corner to save your changes.
Fulfillment service
Changing the fulfillment service of your products to Spaceful allows our integration to automatically change the status of orders from “unfulfilled” to “fulfilled” when an order is shipped.
Note: If we are only fulfilling a certain number of your inventory, orders may be marked as “partially fulfilled” if the order contains products that we do not handle.
Changing the fulfillment service for multiple items is a much easier process by utilizing the bulk editor feature. Visit the products page and select all the items we will be handling and click on Edit products to enter into the bulk editor.
Once the bulk editor page loads, press on Add fields and add fulfillment service as a field.
Under the fulfillment, the service column changes the option to Spaceful for all the products we will be handling. (You can also hold shift to select multiple cells)
Inventory Tracking
Activating inventory tracking allows the inventory in the dashboard to be reflected directly in your Shopify and updated during the 30 minute sync period. Lightning Sync users have real-time 2-way inventory synchronization.
Changing the fulfillment service for multiple items is a much easier process by utilizing the bulk editor feature. Visit the products page and select all the items we will be handling and click on Edit products to enter into the bulk editor.
Once the bulk editor page loads, press on Add fields and add Track quantity as a field.
Under the track quantity column, change the option to Spaceful tracks this variant’s inventory for all the products we will be handling. (You can also hold shift to select multiple cells)
Note: Fulfillment service must be changed to Spaceful before this step can be completed.
Shipping rates & locations
It’s vital to ensure the Spaceful location has been added after the integration is complete and shipping rates are added for deliveries originating from the Spaceful location.
Note: If this step is not completed, shoppers may not be able to complete the checkout process as no shipping rates will be made available.
Visit the settings of your store and select locations. Scroll to the bottom of the page and ensure that Spaceful is located under App locations and click on the name.
You will be redirected to the shipping and delivery section of the settings page. Click on the manage rates link on the right side of the page.
Scroll to the bottom of the page where you will find the Spaceful location. Click on add rates and in the pop-up window select to either create new rates for deliveries originating from Spaceful or select use the same rates as a previous location if you wish to keep the same shipping rates. Once finished, click save to save your changes.
Phone number requirement
Spaceful requires phone numbers to be entered by shoppers during the checkout process and is used to send SMS alerts for FBS (Fulfilled by Spaceful) deliveries. Phone numbers may also be used by carriers to assist in reaching certain addresses.
To activate the required shipping address phone number in Shopify, visit the settings of your store and select checkout.
Scroll down to the Form options section and select required within the options for shipping address phone number.
